The Vineyard House – Country House Horse Museum
The Vineyard Houseis an elegant residence nestled in the hills of Paliano, created in collaboration with theHorse Museum Foundationand enriched with numerous horse-themed works of art that tell stories ofequestrian art and passion. The apartment offers the perfect combination ofcomfort, independence, and beauty, ideal for both families and groups of friends.
The house has two bedrooms—one double and one twin—and two bathrooms with showers. The living room is furnished with adouble sofa bed, television, and access to the kitchen, which is spacious and fully equipped with induction hobs, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, ironing board, and iron.
Outside, a terrace with a table allows you to dine while admiring the view of the vineyards, while a covered terrace overlooking the garden is furnished with armchairs and a small table, perfect for moments of relaxation. The apartment also hasair conditioning in all rooms, internet, and two independent entrances from the garden.
The first double bedroom,Camera Picchinenna, is decorated with an exhibition of 20 paintings, many by the painterMarino Picchinenna, whose family came from Basilicata and was involved in breeding horses for the royal family of the Bourbons of Naples. Marino had a real passion for horses.
The second room, with a French bed, is decorated with an authentic copy of the portrait of Ferdinando II de' Medici by the Flemish artist Justus Sustermans, which was the inspiration for the exhibition"Love at First Sight," presented at the World Equestrian Championships in Rome.
The hall houses two large canvases by Emanuele Bandùdepicting scenes fromthe famousRoman Carnival during the time of the Pope-King, culminating in the race of 'free' horses fromPiazza del PopoloalongVia del Corso, from which it takes its name. Other works on display include "Cavallo in Rosso" (Horse in Red) by the Roman painterTranquilli, a watercolor byPaola Pericone, and a print byAntonio Vangelli, all inspired by the equestrian world. The elegance and works of art make this the perfect place to stay for both families and groups of friends looking for fun and relaxation.
Families or groups of friends can choose to stay in the entire apartment, creating acountry house with views of the vineyardsand two outdoor terraces, ideal for enjoying the sunsets of Paliano, or stay only inthe Picchinenna Room with private bathroom, maintaining maximum independence and comfort in a more intimate space.
